The Soft Lift™ Has Evolved. We’re Using New Fillers & Methods to Sculpt the Face

Pick any industry – technology, medicine, beauty – and you’ll see a constant bubbling of innovation and progress. The medical aesthetics industry is no different. It’s always on the cutting-edge of the latest anti-aging breakthrough that is more effective, natural-looking and longer-lasting than its predecessor.

The Soft Lift™ is one of those advances in facial rejuvenation that has evolved over the years. From simply treating wrinkles and volume loss, it has morphed into a sophisticated system of mapping out the face (using MD Codes™) to enhance, contour, restore, revitalize and literally make patients look 10-15 years younger – all without ever stepping foot in a surgeon’s office.

History of Injectables like BOTOX® and Fillers

Neuromodulators such as BOTOX® have been popular since the early 1990’s to soften dynamic lines and wrinkles. Cosmetic uses have remained consistent since then although we’ve learned a thing or two along the way. We now inject with more precision; we know which areas to target but also which ones to avoid. The dreaded eyebrow “Spock,” frozen look or heavy brow still occurs but much less frequently.

The biggest innovation in non-surgical facial rejuvenation has been in the arena of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers. In the last decade we’ve seen some impressive developments in cross-linking technology that has inreased the stability, performance and longevity of HA dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM®.

MD Codes and the Non-Surgical Soft Lift™

Customization turned out to be a winning advantage for this latest generation of dermal fillers. Molecularly speaking, fillers now come in a stunning array of viscosities and densities. Injectors can sculpt and mold the face in ways that wasn’t possible before. Soft fillers such as VOLBELLA™ are designed to restore volume under the eyes. Denser products such as VOLUMA™ and VOLUX™ can give structure and even mimic bone, improving the appearance of cheeks, chin and jawline.

Once these highly complex fillers became widespread, talented injectors started experimenting with them to create a methodical approach to facial rejuvenation. One such technique we’re using at Brockville Medispa is MD Codes. It’s a strategic way to target different injection sites on the face to achieve direct and indirect effects such as lifting, volumizing and contouring.

The Soft Lift, also known as the Volumizing Swan Lift here at Brockville Medispa, incorporates MD Codes with BOTOX®, the most popular neuromodulator, to make women and men look years younger.

How the Soft Lift™ Works

Gone are the days of isolating specific areas of the face, such as nasolabial folds or jowls. It turned out that such a reductionist approach didn’t always produce the most natural-looking results, or make faces look younger.

Now we take a more holistic view to facial rejuvenation with neuromodulators and fillers. We ask patients how they feel about their appearance, and how they would like to feel. For example, is their objective to look less tired, less angry, less saggy or more contoured? Then we address these concerns by correcting aging in multiple areas of the face such as brows, cheeks, temples, jowls and jawline.

Our patients are pleasantly surprized by the outcome. By injecting strategically we’re able to achieve profound lifting of sagging skin, giving them more youthful and attractive facial contours. Patients can choose to have the Soft Lift™ performed in one visit or broken down over several sessions like in the images below:
