Target Skin Concerns with a Medical Grade Facial
Medical-Grade Facial Vs. Spa Facial: What’s the Difference?
A regular facial may feel very relaxing but it’s not necessarily targeting specific skin conners such as hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, skin texture and more. This is mostly due to the products and ingredients that are being used.
The main objective of a regular facial is to deep-cleanse and exfoliate the top layers (epidermis), hydrate the skin with a mask, and of course, to relax with a face and shoulder massage. The spa facial is typically performed by an aesthetician.
The products used during a spa facial don’t penetrate very deeply and therefore only provide a temporary effect. The skin normally reverts back to its previous condition after a day or two.
Medical-grade facials on the other hand are administered by a specially trained medical aesthetician. These facials are designed to provide both immediate and long-term benefits. The main objective of a medical-grade procedure is to treat and reverse concerns such as aging, pigmentation, scarring and more.
We use clinically-proven ingredients like professional strength acids and pigment-correcting agents, in some cases combined with technologies such as IPL, radiofrequency (RF), microneedling and hydrabrasion.
Our Most Popular Medical-Grade Facials
The Swan “Get Up and Glow Peel”
This totally customizable and versatile peel can be adjusted to suit any skin type and aesthetic condition. Using the Vivier Jessner’s peeling solution, we can control the intensity and how much or little peeling you will experience.
It’s ideal for patients who have hyperpigmentation (dark spots and melasma), acne and acne scarring, enlarged pores and texture issues. It’s also suitable if you have sensitive skin. We recommend a series of 3-5 sessions for optimum results.
2. The HydraFacial MD®
The HydraFacial’s claim to fame is its advanced Vortex Technology®. A special handpiece equipped with water jet propulsion and suction deep-cleanses and exfoliates the skin while removing impurities.
Safe for most skin types, this treatment can be customized by infusing specialized serums. We can target pigmentation, rosacea, lines, wrinkles and loss of collagen while boosting skin health and radiance. See results after the first treatment.
Swan Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) with or without Radiofrequency
Studies show that microneedling results in a powerful effect known as collagen induction. This is when the skin rebuilds collagen in areas that have been treated with a device such as the eDermaStamp.
Tiny needles are deployed into the dermis to deliver a controlled ‘damage’ to tissues, causing a profound repair and regeneration response. When microneedling is coupled with RF energy (Venus Viva Fractional) the skin-tightening results are even more impressive.
This treatment is ideal for patients with collagen loss, acne scarring, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, texture issues and poor skin tone. There’s minimal downtime and 3-5 sessions are needed for best results.
Swan Photorejuvenation with IPL
Using IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), photorejuvenation makes a great add-on to medical-grade facials such as the HydraFacial or Microneedling. It’s also a highly effective stand-alone treatment. IPL removes both red and brown pigmentation by targeting melanin and vascular lesions.
Best and safest for patients who fall within the Fitzpatrick skin types I-III, photorejuvenation is ideal for those with stubborn pigmentation concerns. We recommend starting with 3-5 sessions.
The Swan Revive™
Target several skin concerns at one time with our Swan Revive™ advanced facial. It combines IPL and Collagen Induction Therapy with eDermaStamp. The treatment features a super-hydrating and soothing mask with hydronic acid, Vitamin-E and Matrixyl®, a peptide that activates the repair processes of the skin and fights UV damage.
Ideal for patients with pigmentation or scarring, dry or mature skin with loss of collagen. A brighter, smoother and more youthful complexion is achieved even after one session although 3-5 are recommended.
