Large pores are impossible to cover up with makeup, and topical remedies simply don’t produce the results you want. Whether your pores are enlarged due to genetics, sun exposure, or aging, you now have the opportunity to reduce their visibility without costly surgeries and weeks of downtime. At Brockville Cosmetic Skin Clinic, we offer four types of nonsurgical treatments to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, all with long-lasting results. Read below to determine which option is right for you.

DermaFrac is a four-step facial treatment that combines microdermabrasion, micro-needling, deep tissue serum infusion and LED therapy to shrink pores. Additionally DermaFrac corrects sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. As a cost-effective alternative to fractional skin laser resurfacing, the entire DermaFrac process takes less than one hour to complete. You can return to normal activities the same day. Results can be seen in one treatment, though we recommend an initial series of six treatments and monthly or bimonthly follow-ups.

At our clinic we use mechanical microdermabrasion to exfoliate the top one or two layers of dead skins cells without needles or an anesthetic to reveal newer, younger looking skin. This option works on all skin types and is ideal for patients who seek moderate pore minimizing results with minimal down time and discomfort.

Skin peels, also known as chemical exfoliation, are a popular nonsurgical option for reducing the size of pores. Skin peels remove old, dead skin cells and stimulate new cell growth for healthier, younger looking skin. Scientific breakthroughs in these new chemical treatments can brighten your skin without any sign of visible peeling. Exfoliation of old cells typically starts within 48 hours after the treatment and can last up to three days. Because each patient has a unique skin type, skin conditions, and expectations, it’s best to schedule a consultation with Dr. Steyn to determine which one best for you.

In less than 30 minutes, Venus Viva minimizes the appearance of pores. This nonsurgical procedure combines NanoFractional Radio Frequency with SmartScan technology to stimulate the production of new collagen. Patients will see results after their first visit and can resume their normal schedule the next day. We advise a series of three to four Venus Viva treatments to begin with, and one or two per year to minimize the effects of aging.
