Surprise Her With Something She Wants For Mother’s Day

An Anti-Aging Treatment
If your mom or wife is like most moms we know, she has spent most of her life worrying about others and putting her needs last to take care of everyone else. Sound like someone you know? It’s a mom thing! We offer many treatments to address aging and skin health, so we’ve outlined the most popular gifts below to help your Mom turn back the clock. Aging is inevitable; how we look is a choice. And hey, there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself for Mother’s Day!
1. Botox
Botox is an all-time favorite and probably the most well-known anti-aging treatment by name. But do you really know how it works? Botox is a muscle relaxant that can treat unwanted forehead lines, crow’s feet and frown lines by relaxing the muscles. Yup, we want them relaxed, but not “frozen.” Baby Botox, a smaller amount used for preventative treatments, is popular among younger patients to prevent those pesky lines from even forming.
Fun Fact: Did you know that we also can treat chin dimpling (peau d’orange), neck bands and large masseters, often seen in patients grinding their teeth, with Botox? And do not forget the medical treatment of excessive sweating with Botox Therapeutic!
2. Dermal Fillers
Injectable dermal fillers are mainly used for volume restoration of the cheeks and lower face. Sinking and sagging is an integral part of the maturing face. Dermal fillers can effectively address facial wrinkles, creases, loss of volume and scarring. Fillers differ from Botox in that the injectable gel lifts the cheeks and smooths creases and lines, while Botox relaxes the muscle to reduce wrinkles. Fillers also stimulate new collagen and elastin formation in the skin. Bonus!
Fun Fact: Did you know we also can redefine the jawline with filler, and fill sunken temples with filler?
3. Skin Peels
Peels are surface treatments that improve and smooth the texture of the skin, including wrinkles and fine lines. Peels do this by removing the outermost layers of the skin with a peel solution. This process encourages the skin to generate new collagen and new layers of skin, often with much fewer wrinkles after a series of treatments. This quick treatment is an all-time favorite at the office as it requires very little time commitment, with predictable results.
4. Microneedling
Microneedling or “fractional” treatments address scarring, wrinkles and fine lines on the skin through a process that uses tiny needles to puncture the top layer of skin. This stimulates new collagen and skin tissue growth, while leaving normal skin intact and reducing downtime. It is a bit like aerating the lawn! Microneedling also addresses large pores and acne. This is the perfect treatment for those with ongoing skin troubles. The DermaFrac treatment provides infusion of specialized serums, while the Viva Fractional treatment is a deeper treatment with more dramatic results.
5. IPL Photofacials
If uneven skin tone, sun spots and redness is your nemesis, an IPL photofacial is your answer. A photofacial or photorejuvenation helps reverse sun damage, even out facial color, and improve tone and texture by boosting collagen and elastin production. IPL treatments are the No. 1 requested skin procedure at the office.
6. Hydrating Facials
These can be done as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with one of the above treatments. The hydrating facial is just as it sounds. It hydrates the skin, brings water content back in and locks in moisture. Breathe new life into dull, dry skin with hydrating facials and kiss aging goodbye! The HydraFacial MD skillfully combines hydradermabasion (microdermabrasion using a water vortex), a skin peel, vortex extraction to clean the pores, and hydration, all in one treatment.
