I hear that you are now offering virtual consults. How does it work? I have been thinking about coming to see you for a while. Will it benefit me to do an online consultation, or will I be wasting my time? Should I wait till after the pandemic for an in person consultation?

Dear Janet, Thank you for your question.
The current pandemic has forced us to reassess how we “see” our patients, and we are pleasantly surprise with how well our econsults are turning out. As for everything else, there are always some pro’s and cons.
Virtual consults can never replace an in person assessment, but shines on so many other levels, especially now during the pandemic . To increase safety, we are looking at virtual consults to reduce direct person to person contact when a procedure is not planned. When you are new to the Brockville MediSpa, the initial virtual assessment is a perfect opportunity for me to share educational content and educate you on all your options, including skin care, skin procedures and injectables that you might benefit from. You will also have ample time to ask all your questions, and will receive a treatment plan via email.
This email will have with links to products and procedures if you want to do some more research. When you then come in for your in person assessment, we can use the time to review any questions and go ahead to do your treatment at that appointment.This is something our patients really appreciate.
Our patients that already had virtual consults tell us they love it, as it cut down on travel time, they have time to digest the information, and can make a decision regarding treatment before they come in for their in person assessment.
A virtual follow-up consult is also perfect to assess your results and discuss future treatment plans. Again, it can be a huge timesaver for patients. We also plan to use virtual consults to review consent and provide information before a treatment.
Some patients might perceive technology as a stumble block; however, we are using an easy to use platform that can be accessed either via computer or a smartphone, making it easy for our patients to connect.
